FAQ
Small Business Website Questions, Answered Clearly.
Small business website FAQ for Conroe, TX owners hiring a web team. Direct answers about hosting, SEO, ownership, pricing, timelines, the industries we build for, and what makes a custom-coded site different from Wix or WordPress.
-
Do I have to manage the website myself?
No. We handle the build, hosting, updates, maintenance, and the technical work. You stay focused on the business.
-
Is hosting included?
Yes. Hosting is included once you pay for a build. Domain registration is separate, stays in your business name, and has its own fee that we go over on the Zoom call.
-
Do I own my domain?
Yes. The domain is registered under your business name from the start. If you ever switch developers, the domain goes with you.
-
What is the monthly retainer for?
The $150 per month retainer covers a monthly site audit, content updates, dependency and security updates, a Site Health Report, and an optional 20-minute review call. Cancel any month.
-
What happens if I cancel?
Your domain stays yours. The source code we delivered at launch stays with you. The cancellation and handoff terms are written out in plain English before the project starts, so you know what happens before you ever sign.
-
Will my site show up on Google?
Yes, given time. The base build delivers a fast, structurally clean foundation. The ranking work itself is the $350 SEO Bundle add-on, which adds keyword research, page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image tags, schema markup, an XML sitemap, and a robots.txt. Ranking takes several months either way.
-
What is AEO and GEO?
AEO is Answer Engine Optimization. GEO is Generative Engine Optimization. Both structure your site so Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, and AI Overviews can read your business, services, location, and the answers customers ask for. In plain terms: it helps your site show up when someone asks an AI a question. AEO and GEO work lives inside the SEO Bundle add-on, not the base build.
-
Can you write the website content for me?
Yes. We can write the pages, service descriptions, FAQs, and calls to action. You approve voice and tone before anything ships.
-
How long does it take?
Most small business builds take two to four weeks. It moves faster when you already have your logo, photos, services, and contact info ready.
-
Do I need to know anything technical?
No. We hand off a finished site and keep running the backend. No dashboards, plugins, or admin work for you to manage.
-
What platform do you build on?
Custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, deployed on Cloudflare Pages. No WordPress, no Wix, no Squarespace, no template engine in between. The site loads faster and stays cleaner than anything built on a third-party builder.
-
Can you redesign my existing site?
Yes. The Website Rebuild track keeps your domain and moves the site onto a new codebase. You get faster load times and cleaner structure. Phase-by-phase pricing is on the pricing page.
-
Can you build websites for HVAC, roofing, plumbing, and home services?
Yes. Trade and home service sites need fast mobile loading, click-to-call buttons, emergency call-out forms, quote forms, seasonal service content, and a service-area page per city. We build that in.
-
Can you build websites for dentists, med spas, and wellness businesses?
Yes. Medical and wellness sites need credentials displayed up front, treatment pages, booking links, staff bios, reviews, and clear service explanations. Those are the items patients check before they call.
-
Can you add service-area pages for Conroe, Montgomery, Willis, Magnolia, The Woodlands, Spring, and New Caney?
Yes. Each city gets its own page only when there is real unique content for it: local landmarks, jobs done in that area, or services specific to that market. We do not copy and paste the same page seven times, because Google treats that as doorway content.
-
Can you guarantee first-page Google rankings?
No honest agency can guarantee first-page rankings. The base build gives you a clean technical foundation: fast performance, helpful content, and a structurally sound site. The ranking work itself, including location pages, structured data, and ongoing updates, is the SEO Bundle add-on. Without it the site can still climb, but it climbs slower.
-
What makes your custom-coded site different from Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress?
Custom code loads faster than any template. You skip plugin bloat, template lock-in, monthly platform fees, and the security holes that come from outdated third-party plugins. You also own the source code. A platform vendor cannot push an update that breaks your site, because there is no platform vendor in the loop.
-
What do you need from me to start a website project?
Email us first. After we reply, we book a 30-minute Zoom to talk through the business, the services you offer, the cities you serve, and the rough goal for the website. If you already have your logo, photos, and copy, the build moves faster.
